It appears that Atlantic City is not too far off from seeing sports betting arrive at the popular Bally’s Wild Wild West casino, as the casino is putting the finishing touches on a 8,190-square-foot temporary sports book inside the Old West-themed staple of the boardwalk, according to The Press of Atlantic City.
Things are tracking that it could see the sports betting floor open as soon as next week.
Back on July 13th of this year, the state Division of Gaming Enforcement conditionally approved a petition from Bally’s Wild Wild West to amend its Certificates of Operation and Casino Hotel Alcoholic Beverage licenses to reconfigure areas of the casino’s gaming floor to make space for a temporary sports book.
If it does open next week, it will become the 3rd casino to open a sports book, behind Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, which was the first in Atlantic City to do so, and Ocean Resort Casino, which followed.
Electronic Signs appeared at the casino on Friday, touting NFL gambling.
